MANSFIELD & MOUNT VERNON PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES
Dr. Dennis Marikis is a licensed psychologist with extensive training and many years of practice in the use of Neurofeedback and the emerging discipline of brain retraining. He is a consultant for the U.S. Veteran's Administration and works with military personnel who are dealing with issues including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Chronic Pain, Traumatic Brain Injury and Addiction, using brain retraining in the healing process. He is a consultant for BWC and numerous substance abuse treatment centers utilizing his techniques for brain retraining with patients suffering from a wide variety of disorders. He also works with school personnel to address issues of school-related challenges including Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADD/ADHD. Dr. Marikis specializes in psychological testing (all ages), Neuromodulation, NeuroAdvantage Brain Retraining and Coaching for Life.

Donna Akuchie
specializes in treatment for Parenting, Christian Counseling, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Women's Issues, Family Counseling and Grief Counseling.

Elizabeth Emmert specializes in the treatment of Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, PostTraumatic Stress Disorder and Grief/Bereavement Counseling. She has experience using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Dean Donnan is an independently licensed substance abuse counselor who works in both Ohio and the Province of Ontario, Canada. He treats all substance use disorders and specializes in the treatment of Alcohol Use Disorder and Opioid Use Disorder. He has training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma and Loss interventions. (Mansfield office only.)
